Stephen & Erika’s Wedding

We have been waiting to shoot Stephen and Erika’s wedding since February 2008, when we met Erika at her friends’ Kelsey and Dave’s wedding. Since then we have had the pleasure to hang out with them more with their engagement shoot at the Royal Alberta Museum, but, nothing matches the fun of getting to share the happiest day of their lives with them!

It’s really amazing how much you find out about people on their wedding days – you get to learn their history, enjoy their now, and imagine their future all within one day!

Despite battling thundershowers and a sea of brides at the Alberta Legislature grounds, Stephen and Erika managed to keep calm, cool and collected. Starting the day at Mousy Browns (Erika) and at the Hotel MacDonald (Stephen) probably had something to do with it! Erika’s own bridesmaid, Kirsten, did Erika’s hair and makeup before getting her
own hair and makeup ready for the wedding.

They married at the stately Robertson-Wesley United Church, and then headed off for formals at the Legislature and some obliging graffiti (which Daniel spent 3 hours hunting down on the morning of the wedding
– no thanks to you, Capital City Clean-up!). Finally, we ended the day – and started the night – partying it up with some exquisitely planned details at the Shaw Conference Centre.

Thank you for sharing your joy with us, Stephen and Erika. I hope you enjoy your honeymoon over the pound, and we’ll see you when you get back!

For now, here are a few shots to give you a sneak peek!
