When we shot Derek & Andrea’s engagement session, we knew they would bring it on their wedding day, and they delivered. They were up for any shot, willing to pose in torrential rain with thousands of mosquitoes and managed to have fun in spite of it all. You guys and your bridal party were troopers, and we totally appreciated it!

Take a look at what a very rainy wedding day can look like – I hope, aside from the umbrellas, you’d never know that the rain was soaking through all our clothes and hair!

And, since we haven’t done a ‘behind the scenes’ post in a while, we thought we’d toss some of us in action here:

After hitting up the snowy trails of an obliging golf course, we headed to downtown Sylvan to drive out onto the frozen lake. There were a few other brave souls out on the ice, including skaters, quadders, ice-fishers, and cops patrolling the three. Derek’s son, Jakob, also joined us at the shoot in order to grab a few fun family photos, and after he’d had a chance to warm up from the frigid wind and temps, he had a blast on the ice.
