We barely made it through this session when the sky just erupted in lightning, thunder, rain and wind. Beautiful light for great sky shots, but we were still happy to be driving home in warm and dry vehicles.

So we did. With the help of the St. Albert Grain Elevator Park, some abandoned barns and an awesome fruit and veggie farm on the way to Villeneuve, we rocked the casbah, ahem, country.
 
Rarely do we get a chance to shoot such a relaxed couple before their wedding ceremony because these types of “shoot first, wedding after” photo sessions can take a toll on time-conscious couples. But, as you can see below, Joel and Brienne definitely had the confidence, style and grace to pull off complete relaxation and joy in their photos before they skipped down the altar at St. Peter’s Church.
 
Having a terrific wedding party who would stand in the 29 C weather, with allergies and without air conditioning, had a lot to do with it, I’m sure.
