They are such a sweet couple, full of life, love and joy. The shoot we had planned didn’t work out, and instead what came out of it was a wholesome, sweet country and 70s hippy lovefest. And we think it’s PERFECT.

We are so excited for these two! We’ve been able to follow them through the years, first with shooting a family portrait/engagement session, and then covering their awesome wedding in 2008!

Rachel put out a call for some willing models – and Lawrence happily volunteered his wife to be in the shots, but with the caveat that we shoot fast since she is due any day! We took the challenge, and we hope you like the results. We wondered around downtown Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, to grab these laid-back shots! And, we can’t believe how spectacular expectant mother Dennell is – she looks just like she does when she’s not pregnant! No fair!

Can’t wait to meet your new lil’ one!

Playing with soon-to-be-big-sister Kestra kept us all laughing, and you can see in the photos below what a difference a smile can make. We’ve never shot maternity pics this close to a due date, and Brianna was such a trooper! We give her props for out-lasting us with her endless energy and poise.

Taylor, Brianna and Kestra, thank you for choosing us to mark this special moment in time, and we hope to meet your new little one soon!

Since then we’ve happily run into Van a few times and were delighted when she asked us to document her second pregnancy.

We got to share in Van’s excitement for her coming baby with a maternity shoot in her home in St. Albert. With the help of her husband and her adorable daughter Cammie, we played upstairs, downstairs and with no shoes on. Stay tuned in the coming months to see the little one, when we document the beginning of their lives together.
