We’ve known Christina for some time, in fact, Rachel went to Bible college with her almost 10 years ago, and they even travelled through Asia together during that time. Now, most of our correspondence happens via email and Facebook because Christina became a missionary church planter in Slovakia and spends a great deal of her time travelling throughout Europe serving youth, families and communities. During her time in Slovakia, she’s met some amazing people – James, an awesome Brit, being one of them.
They met, fell in love, and got married! Due to Christina’s crazy travelling ways, she soon dragged James out of his shell and into exploring the world. They married in gorgeous Slovakia, and though we were unable to shoot the wedding due to our crazy booked summer, we loved the opportunity to take some shots of them together at their Canadian celebration. Since they had another set of photos done next to the lush greenery and ancient buildings in Slovakia, we decided to keep this shoot a little more urban and representative of Edmonton’s downtown landscape.
Thank you so much for sharing your day with us, James and Christina. We only just met you, James, but we can see why Christina’s eyes light up when she sees you. You are an amazing man, and we couldn’t imagine anyone else with her.
I hope you enjoy a sneak peek of their day! It was a very chilly day – quite a departure from the heat Slovakia was getting at the time – but I think these two rocked it despite it all!
