Dustyn and Collette always seem to have the most interesting things happen during their shoots. First, there was the massive smoke from the forest fires in BC for their Edmonton engagement shoot, and then for their wedding formals we had intense Sherwood Park summer heat, but it was broken up by Collette’s surprise present for Dustyn – a photoshoot on a community hockey rink. A sport that he loves.
So, take a look at the pics we grabbed from their super sweet day, and let me know if the sweaty heat, bug-eaten limbs, and frozen to the rink bum was worth the photos we took!

And, thanks to our second shooter, Aadil, for covering the men in the morning. Here are a few of his shots:

Again, a few more shots from Aadil:

I just love this ring shot! What an awesome bride to make a personalized puck for her new hubby!!

Did we mention we loved this puck? It’s even awesome beaten up!

Super big thanks again to our second shooter and awesome assistant, Aadil, for helping us out!!! Here he is helping during formals:

One of the problems with moving to a new province is that you don’t get to take all your favourite people with you to your new home. However, the Molloys (including the wonderful Shawn, Paula, Georgia & Mason) bridged that gap and flew out to sunny Victoria to escape the 5ft-high snowbanks at their home in Alberta. We took a ferry over to Vancouver Island – our first visit to that beautiful area – and shot some family photos in the Molloys’ favourite annual vacation spot at British Columbia’s capital city.
And, I don’t know how many of you have been to Victoria, but there was a bird overload there! A family of 40 ducks entertained us at the Hotel Grand Pacific, and we got photo-bombed by peacocks in Beacon Hill park. Yes, I said peacocks! That was a surprise for this Alberta girl!
If you missed any of the Molloys’ last family shoots, you can check them here: Introducing Baby Mason, Baby Mason’s Second Shoot, and Family Pics At Twilight.
Let us know what you think!

Well, you might have noticed that we’ve been silent on the blog-front for a few months…and the reason for that being we pulled up roots and moved them over a province to beautiful British Columbia. We’ve now settled into life in North Vancouver, among the mountains, nature reserves, ocean, and city life. It’s a whole new world coming from the prairies, let me tell you!
We absolutely love it here, and wanted to share a few photos with you that we’ve taken on our days out and about in our new home. We’ve included pics that we’ve taken here on the North Shore, in downtown Vancouver, and surrounding areas.
We hope you enjoy these pics, and a small glimpse into the land we now call home!

Don’t like the light outside? Use your sunglasses, and fix it!

Candice and Curtis brought the heat again, just as they did so well in their engagement shoot. The heat was definitely needed as temperatures dropped to a freezing cold -20°C.
It was a pleasure to be part of their wedding by capturing their moments as the day flew by.
All the best to you two and we hope you enjoy some of our favourite photos from your day:

We’ve been anticipating shooting Mike & Erin’s wedding day ever since we shot their EPIC summer-love engagement session. These two are absolutely loving – and fun-loving to boot! Their bridal party kept us laughing, kept us entertained with a travelling dog that joined us (yes, completely covered in lake water and wanting lots of pets and cuddles), and they kept up with us as we hiked and hiked for these awesome formals. We think all that effort was worth it (and the pair of socks Rachel sacrificed for Erin’s sore feet from hiking in heels, haha).
We hope you like these pics, Mike and Erin, and we hope nothing but the best for the two of you in your married future!

This little puppy followed us EVERYWHERE…well, not so much a puppy and definitely not little, but fun nonetheless!

Mike’s ring fits right in with the fall foliage – awesome!

Gotta love reflections!
